Megi Gvenetadze, a decorative artist, was born on 2 June 1970 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In 2000, she graduated from Pictorial Arts Department of the Tbilisi Institute of Fine Arts. In 2013, she joined the National Association of Georgian Artists. Since 2014, Megi Gvenetadze has had 10 personal exhibitions, and has participated in over 25 group exhibitions, both in Georgia and abroad.
Megi Gvenetadze’s pieces of work stand out for rich composition, intricate shapes, filigree lines and lavish colours. They are displayed in private galleries in Georgia, as well as in a number of other countries.
The artist’s latest passion is ornamental design (decorating items made of different materials).
Megi Gvenetadze has her own art gallery in the heart of old Tbilisi, where she exhibits her latest pieces of work. Besides, she runs an art studio where she gives drawing classes to adult women who are beginners and have never tried to draw before. Megi Gvenetadze teaches her students using a self-developed, unique teaching method.
